Urban Handgun Courses in Austin

Dive into the world of Urban Handgun. Level 1 is perfect for beginners in both firearms and Krav Maga, we’ve got a Level 2 course for the more seasoned enthusiasts. Covering all the fundamentals of concealed carry and Krav Maga, level 1 is suited to all levels, before graduating to the physically charged Level II Urban Handgun intermediate course (if you’re up for it.)

If you’re new to the concealed carry scene and looking to boost your confidence with some real-world training, this class is calling your name. Get ready for a hands-on, dynamic experience that will have you navigating concealed carry and Krav Maga like a pro. See you there!

Krav Maga Fundamentals
  • Krav Maga Mindset and Technique
  • Basic striking techniques
  • Introduction to extreme close quarters hand to hand combat and weapon retention
  • Krav Maga Mindset and Technique
  • Understanding the pre-fight/attach ques and de-escalation techniques
  • Safety briefing and warmup
  • Striking techniques
  • Grappling techniques
  • Introduction to extreme close quarters hand to hand combat and weapon retention
  • Defenses against grabs
  • Introduction to knife defense
  • Defensive drills / culminating exercises

You will need equipment for both Krav Maga and Pistol Fundamentals to take the concealed carry krav maga course.

Pistol Fundamentals
  • Semi-auto center fire pistol
  • 4 magazines (8 + magazines if single stack firearm, Glock 43, M&P shield, ETC)
  • Outside the waistband or Concealed holster – AIWB Kydex recommended – MUST ATTACH DIRECTLY TO YOUR BELT – no sticky, pocket holsters, leather, or SERPA/index finger release type holsters
  • Closed toed shoes/boots, pants, belt, and t shirt (we recommend wearing clothing you do not mind getting dirty and/or possibly torn)
  • 200 rounds of new ammunition
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Shooting gloves recommended
Krav Maga Fundamentals
  • Athletic clothing
  • Groin guard (for men) and mouth guard
  • Water
  • Bag lunch/snacks (please don’t come in an empty stomach, have a LIGHT snack up to 30 mins before session or a good meal up to 3 hours before session)
