What is Combat Club?

Many people are satisfied going to the range once a month and shooting through a box of ammo. But not you.

You hold yourself to a high standard, wanting to continually improve your tactical skills so you can better fight and defend on behalf of yourself and others. Similarly, you want to surround yourself with others on the same path.

That’s why our team at Tactical Fitness created Combat Club: an exclusive membership-based training program designed to give you everything you need, from the mental knowledge to the physical tactics, to become a powerful force.

Who can attend?

  1. Those that have attended a full day pistol and full day rifle course can register without tryout.
  2. If you have not attended the above training you can schedule a tryout/qualification with out team. Qualification requirements are listed below.

Combat Club will meet each week to train on a specific topic, such as Pistol, Rifle, Krav Maga, low-light shooting, combat fitness, etc.

We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings at 7 PM for approximately 1 – 2 hours. Classes will meet at Georgetown Range, IJJ, or our force-on-force facility at the Northcross mall.

Combat Club Terms, Requirements & Gear

Combat Club Terms:

  • Membership can be cancelled with a 30 day notice with no penalty.
  • Use it or lose it! No make ups will be scheduled if you have to miss a class. Also, membership do not roll over if you do not attend in a month.
  • If a class needs to be cancelled due to severe weather, instructor absence, or any other reason a make up session will be scheduled. Otherwise, more time will be added to the following 2-3 classes to make up for lost class.
  • Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Memberships can be paused once a year, for up to 2 months. Afterwards, you will need to sign up at the current membership rate.
  • Tactical Fitness strives to provide a safe, friendly, and cohesive training environment. If however, you are deemed unsafe or incompatible with the group, you will be asked to leave immediately.

Qualification for Combat Club: For those who have not attended a full day pistol and rifle class

Qualification dates: (please let us know your availability to come qualify when you register)

  • Demonstrate safe handling of a pistol
    • Safe draw from a concealed holster and hit a c-zone target at 10 yards
    • Safe reloads
    • Demonstrate the ability to run forward and laterally with a handgun
  • Demonstrate safe handling of a rifle
    • Know how to zero your own rifle
    • Demonstrate shooting from low/high ready at a 8 inch target with proper holdover at 5, 10, 15, and 20 yards
    • Safe reloads
    • Demonstrate the ability to run forward and laterally with a rifle and manipulating the safety

General Gear list for Combat Club:

  • For your Protection & other equipment

    • Eye and ear protection – purchase milspec eye protection here.
    • knee pads
    • tactical gloves
    • handheld light – Streamlight, Surefire, Modlite, etc.
  • Pistol Related

    • Serviceable Pistol with night sights and or red dot sight, quality weapon mounted light
    • A good quality IWB and OWB holster. Absolutely no leather, uncle mike, or Surpa type holsters are permitted – you will not be allowed to participate if you come with one.
    • 5 magazines of standard capacity of 10 for single stacked pistols
    • magazines pouches
  • Rifle related:

    • Serviceable rifle – AR, Tavor, AK, Pistol caliber carbine, sub gun – it’s up to you. With an optic that has an illuminate dot/reticle.
    • Quality weapon mounted light – surefire, streamlight, modlite, cloud defensive
    • Good quality sling
    • 3 standard capacity magazines
    • Suppressor is always welcome
    • rifle magazine pouch
    • ammo amount will vary per class
  • For Krav Maga classes – groin guard and mouth guard, athletic clothing
