Dive into the world of security and counter-terrorism in this episode of Manifesto Radio, featuring Tactical Fitness Austin’s very own, Bernardo! With over 16 years of hands-on experience, Bernardo is an expert in this field.
A Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Counter Terrorism (CT) and security best practices, Bernardo’s career reads like an action movie script. From high-risk police tactics to special operations (SOF), dignitary protection (CP), and close-quarters battle (CQB), he’s done it all. Recently retired from a Special Operations unit of the Border Police, Bernardo’s focus on direct action and low visibility operations is nothing short of extraordinary.
But that’s not where the story ends. He’s been a Federal Air Marshal, a Personal Bodyguard to the Chief of Staff (IDF), a Combat instructor, and a Counter Assault Team member to the Israeli Dignitary Protection Unit. Bernardo doesn’t just walk the walk; he sprints it.
Behind the scenes, Bernardo has been a mentor and inspiration for over a decade. As the founder and director of Team of Warriors, a non-profit organization, he’s been guiding minorities and at-risk youth to unlock their leadership potential through military service. If that wasn’t enough, Bernardo holds a Master’s Degree in Homeland Security and Counter-Terrorism studies from Reichman University in Israel.
In this podcast episode, Bernardo discusses his incredible career to date as well as his decision to join us at Tactical Fitness Austin as Director of Operations and what that role entails. We are proud to have him on board.
