The goal of Krav Maga is to teach practitioners how to defend themselves against attackers in reallife situations. Our experienced instructors will help you develop your physical fitness while teaching practical selfdefense skills.

What is Krav Maga?

Krav Maga was founded by Imi Lichtenfeld in the 1930s, using his vast martial arts experience to defend his community from anti-Semitic gangs. Since then, Krav Maga has evolved to become the official hand-to-hand combat and self defense system of the Israeli Defense Forces. The technique behind Krav Maga is built on natural human reflexes and movements making it easy and intuitive to learn as well as immediately applicable in real-world situations. Additionally, the effectiveness of Krav Maga as a self-defense system is amplified by its ability to incorporate both mental and physical conditioning into its training methods. This combination of improving mental and physical well being through instruction using intuitive human movements makes Krav Maga a premier self-defense skill to learn.

Our classes are designed with beginners in mind and no prior experience or special equipment is required. We focus on proper technique execution which allows students to quickly learn effective defenses against common attacks like punches, chokes, bear hugs and more! As part of the curriculum we also incorporate tactical principles that can be used both on the street as well as in sport competition scenarios. Not only will our classes give you a great workout but its also an excellent way to reduce stress levels after a long day at work or school. Youll find yourself learning new skills and having lots of fun along the way! Plus there‘s nothing better than knowing that when push comes to shove you have what it takes to protect yourself if necessary.

  • Membership can be cancelled with a 30 day notice with no penalty. Except in the first 3 months (for Krav Maga)
  • Use it or lose it! No make ups will be scheduled if you have to miss a class. Also, membership do not roll over if you do not attend in a month.
  • If a class needs to be cancelled due to severe weather, instructor absence, or any other reason a make up session will be scheduled. Otherwise, more time will be added to the following 2-3 classes to make up for lost class.
  • Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Memberships can be paused once a year, for up to 2 months. Afterwards, you will need to sign up at the current membership rate.
  • Tactical Fitness strives to provide a safe, friendly, and cohesive training environment. If however, you are deemed unsafe or incompatible with the group, you will be asked to leave immediately without refund.

What you will need

  • Athletic clothing
  • No shoes
  • Mouth guard
  • Groin guard for men
  • Later in the program: MMA/Boxing gloves, Shin guards (not required to start)

Hygiene Rules:

Please come to class with clean clothing. Dry fit type shirt or rash guard is required.

Use deodorant

If you have an active job, shower before coming to class.

Keep fingernails and toenails trimmed

If you go to the bathroom during class wear your shoes.

If you have cuts or scrapes cover them up.

If you are sick or have some type of skin infection DO NOT COME to class.
