## What makes a corporate team building event actually work?

Nobody in your group has run a rifle reload under a coach’s eye or stepped up to a full-auto machine gun. The shared challenge is real, and nobody can check out.

You are coached the entire time by instructors who spent years in special operations. They know how to read a group and adjust on the fly.

You get the entire facility to yourselves. One group, one day, zero distractions from the public.

## What the experience actually looks like

1. Arrival and safety briefing so everyone knows exactly what to expect.
2. Hands-on coaching on the range with rifles and machine guns, starting from zero.
3. Live-fire team competitions that put the new skills to work under time pressure.
4. Debrief with your team to unpack what just happened and what it means back at the office.

## Who has run this day

Samsung has brought teams out. So has Jackson Walker, and so have YPO chapters. Those are three different kinds of group with three different reasons for being here, and the day gets built differently for each one.

The floor is five people and the ceiling is fifty. Larger groups run as rotations so nobody stands around waiting for a lane.

A half-day covers the safety brief, coached range time, and a team competition. A full day adds lunch, a second block of instruction, and enough downtime between rotations that the group actually talks to each other. Half-day is the default. Full day is what you book when the point of the event is the conversation, not the shooting.

The range is at 300 US Highway 183 in Florence, Texas, about 55 minutes north of downtown Austin. It is a private outdoor facility, not a rented bay at a public range. On your day your group has the place to itself: no lanes, no strangers in the next bay, no range officer telling you to keep it moving. It is outdoors, so you are on gravel and grass, and closed-toe shoes matter. If the weather turns unsafe we move you to a backup date at no charge.

## FAQ

### Is this safe for people who have never touched a gun?

Yes. Every step is coached, and safety is the first and last thing we talk about.

### What is the minimum and maximum group size?

Five people minimum. We have hosted groups as large as 50, split into rotations.

### Where is the range and how long is the drive?

About 55 minutes north of downtown Austin. We send exact directions once your date is confirmed.

### What should people wear?

Closed-toe shoes and clothes you can move in. We are outdoors on a working range.

### What happens if the weather is bad?

We include a backup date at no extra charge if conditions are unsafe.

### How far in advance do we need to book?

Two to four weeks is typical. Peak season books faster, so reach out early if you have a date in mind.

### Can we do this as a client entertainment event, not just a team offsite?

Yes, and it is one of the more common reasons companies book. Bringing key accounts out for a private day at an outdoor range is a different kind of invitation than a steakhouse dinner, and it gives the client a story they did not already have. The day gets built the same way, with more coaching and less competition, because the goal is that everyone has a good time rather than that somebody wins.

### What if some of our team does not want to shoot?

They come anyway and they are not left standing around. There is a real role in spotting, timing the competitions, and running the group’s media, and plenty of people who said they would sit it out end up on the line by the second rotation. Nobody is pushed. Tell us in advance how many are likely to opt out so the rotations get built around it.
